Abstract:	本文研究了自1997 到2003 年間不良債權對日本銀行業的影響﹐並利用資料包絡分析法來討論日本城市銀行 (city banks) 的運作效率。本文試對以下幾點作闡述。首先﹐由於日本銀行業自1996 年的「金融大改革」(Big Bang) 後經歷了一連串結構性的改變﹐本文試圖探討在此重整過程下其經營效率是否也有明顯的改善。此外﹐本文也深入研究不良債權對日本城市銀行的影響。作者藉由將不良債權考慮為效率值的投入變數﹐來衡量對公司表現的影響程度﹐最後並將以迴歸分析來探討除不良債權外可能影響效率值的其他因素。
