Abstract:	本研究為三年期的研究計畫，第一年的主要研究工作為蒐集資料，並且廣邀各界民法學者參與討論，先就民法典未來發展的大方向，先作初步的探尋跟討論，為此，一方面建置「民法新典範工作坊」網站(網址：http://www.newcivilcode.org/)，希望藉由此一平台的設置，廣納各界意見，並依計畫進展，將相關的研究文章上傳，以供學界回饋意見。另一方面也積極舉辦專題演講和學術研討會，邀請學者就特定主題發表專論，以進行深度的對話討論，第一年即針對法典化的基本理論、民法的實質化、財產法體系原則、公私法的接軌、民法典的經濟功能、民法典體系的新氣象等六大主題，與台灣大學、政治大學、台北大學、中央研究院、交通大學、成功大學的法律系所合作舉行六場的學術研討會。這些成果，也都將成為第二年計畫繼續進行的基礎。
