Abstract:	一九九０年代，尤其是在一九九九年，受到高等教育大眾化與建設世界一流大學的發展策略的激化，中國大陸高等教育的治理出現極大變化，雖然在整體發展上，仍是國家主導，但是市場與學術兩個力量已然浮現，尤其是市場的影響力時而可見，不再完全是一個被動、任由國家操控的依變項。對於上述的變化，英語體系的研究者多從西方市場化的理論切入。本研究在執行上期之研究發現，中國大陸高等教育的市場力量實是地方因素與市場因素結合而成，而藉此兩個因素形成的國有民辦獨立學院，受地方因素影響，發展千差萬別。以此初步研究所得為基礎，本計劃將繼續研究國家與市場共同建立的研究生專業學位的建立與發展，並以工程學術為例，以其進一步深入瞭解中國大陸高等教育發展中市場因素的內涵，以及其與國家的關係。
