Abstract:	本研究以兩年為期，希望對於台灣選舉政治中，「台灣認同」的起源與其政治效果，做深入的釐清與探討。對於台灣認同的起源政治後果的研究，過去的研究主要以調查研究的資料，作量化的研究分析。本研究將結合質性與量化的研究，運用焦點團體訪問法對於「台灣認同」的起源，作概念的釐清與測量工具上建構，而用初步的訪談資料而得到的測量工具進行大規模的抽樣調查。在研究工作的第二年，利用深度訪談的方式，進一步對於「台灣認同」的可能政治後果與初步測量工具的適用性作進一步探索與確認，並再度利用電話調查，分析台灣認同的政治效果。本研究希望運用質性與量化的研究方法，從符號政治學以及自利算計的角度，分析台灣認同的起源與其政治效果，希望對於此一在選舉政治中相當重要的概念，能提出更好的測量工具以及不同的理論論述。
