Title:	清嘉道咸時期士人的時代關懷 The social and political concerns of the literati in the Mid-Qing period

Abstract:	本文嘗試回答：清嘉道咸時期，士人如何掌握時代脈動，及其時代關懷為何？然本文並非嘉道咸年間，士人言論總集或百科全書，因此，無意也無法兼顧此時士人涉及的所有內容。即便如此，與此相關之議題極為龐雜，甚難一一細述，故以鳥瞰方式呈現其中較為關鍵的部分，希冀凸顯清中葉以降的時代變化，並以實例進行解說，捕捉嘉道咸年間的風貌，與士人的時代關懷。綜觀嘉道咸時期，士人關懷時代的焦點仍以內政為主，故本文借用多旋律線的概念，呈顯士人對人滿之患、官箴吏治、鹽漕河大政與銀錢經濟等議題的討論。其後，因爆發鴉片戰爭，涉外事務成為士人關懷時代的另一條主軸。部分士人亦進行若干外國事務的引介工作，卻有如「睜一隻眼閉一隻眼」在看世界，且戴上厚重的儒家眼鏡，以傳統中華思想理解世界，排列世界秩序。士人認為根絕夷務問題的解決之道須從內政著手，徹底改革的方式，當以人心風俗為要，回歸人性與天良。此外，士人時代關懷的另一條重要途徑，乃師友網絡的連結，及其形塑之輿論。士人網絡在平時透過宴集、題寫詩文序跋等方式聯絡感情。一旦遭遇重大事件，群起發聲，表達立場，縱論時事，形成輿論風潮，左右國家政策方向。嘉道咸年間的士人再三強調人心風俗之重要性，以編纂經世文章和詩文總集的方式，冀期轉化風俗，端正人心，此時代世風，猶在士人間繼續傳承。
