    Abstract: Georg Simmel 在1918 年的最後一場演講「近代文化的衝突」(Der Konflikt der modernen Kulture）中，談論了文化與生命的關連，他指出，文化是人的一種精神表徵，以獨特的方式將主體與客體連結在一起，涵蓋了我們的生活乃至生命。人類生命的創造性活動創造出若干的形象，這個形象乃至過程即是文化，文化也是人類生命的一種現實化的表現形式。1透過文化的產物—無論有形或無形，我們可以看到文化中蘊涵的精神，也就是一種人乃至社會內部精神的外部展現，從這個意義上出發，文化本身並沒有高低優劣的區別，而是一種生命乃至生活方式的展現。漫畫作為人類創造性活動的展現，亦是文化的一環。
