    Abstract: 本文企圖從傳播哲學的角度,檢視閱聽人理論的後設理論,以回應現有多元的閱聽人研究理論,所共同指涉的概念主體為何的問題。全文先參酌傳播哲學研究者Anderson(2004)的觀點,將閱聽人研究,劃分為「基礎論/經驗性」、「基礎論/分析性」、「反身性/經驗性」及「反身性/分析性」等四類範疇,從而比較四種範疇內的認識論與方法論的差異。最終,本文認為論者在思考閱聽人概念後設主體的差異時,應該跳脫本質主義與獨斷主義的困境,對多元的閱聽人理論,進行互為主體的辯證與尊重。
    This paper examines the Meta-theory of the Audience theory from the viewpoint of Communication Philosophy, and responses the debates what is the common concept subject about the audience from the multiple paradigms. The paper refer to the point from the Anderson(2004), divide the Meta-theory of Audience theory to four categories, including the "foundational/empirical", "foundational/analytical", "reflexive/empirical", "reflexive/analytical" categories, and compare the difference of the epistemology and methodology. Finally, this paper concludes that we need to escape the Dogmatism and the Essentialism, apply the intersubjective dialogue and esteem to the debates from the multiple Audience theory.
