Title:	美德之「後」─年輕客家女性的客家性探討

Abstract:	本研究以深入訪談的方式訪問了7位20至25歲、父母皆為客家人士的年輕女性，從節儉、順從丈夫和刻苦耐勞這三個特點來省視她們眼中的祖母與母親所流露出的傳統客家女性特質，以對照出傳統美德形象與新一代年輕客家女性視角中傳統客家女性日常生活意象之間的異同。此外，不同於過去研究專著於對傳統客家女性本身特質的反思，本研究將更進一步了解族群認同將如何影響著現代年輕客家女性對於自我身份的看法。研究發現，年輕客家女性與其他族群在語言以及節儉觀念上的差異，使得她們出現了較為負面的族群認同態度。然而，客家女性順從丈夫和刻苦耐勞這兩種傳統美德給予他人的良好印象，卻成了年輕客家女性族群認同上的一塊新基石。不過，客家年輕女性對於傳統美德的認同，卻因為同時交疊在女性意識已經相當明朗的台灣社會以及受祖母或母親等傳統客家女性影響的成長環境的雙重層次之下，而出現了矛盾的狀況。在女性意識漸趨抬頭的台灣社會中，這種對於傳統美德的矛盾也使得年輕客家女性的客家性越來越為薄弱。
