Abstract:	本文之研究目標，在於探討我國民眾的法律認知狀況，並分析「平等接近正義」的問題。探討時，以運用筆者在民國七十四年及八十四年兩次針對成年民眾所做的分層系統抽樣調查之資料為主，輔以其他機構之相關調查資料。全文區分為四節，第壹節說明研究範圍與資料來源，並就法律認知，平等接近正義之主題，予以界定。第貳節探討法律認知之相關基礎事項，敘述認知管道、社會關係及法律教育等事項，與法律認知的關係。第參節以對法律事例之認知，對法律專門職業人員之認知以及對法律制度的一般認知等三個小節，分別闡述我國民眾的法律認知情況，並兼說明民眾認知及處理法律事務，可能面臨的障礙因素。最後依據研究之心得，提出三項建議，作為本文之結論，並供相關機關之參考。
