    Title: 新世代新語言－網路語言的興起

    Abstract: 網路語言的興起與背景，不一而定，從網路學術領域的研究趨勢來看，網路原本被認為是不利人際傳播的媒介，因為非語言線索減少，交談者彼此無法面對面，聲調、表情與動作的暗示都無從得知，但是表情符號的加入，讓非語言線索不成問題。早在1995年筆者在交大唸書的時候，就見識不少BBS的能人，用各種熟悉的標點符號或是特殊符號，創造出許多表情，最簡單的微笑「* v *」、流淚「T_T」、吐舌頭「:-p」，俏皮逗趣讓人會心一笑。 除了情緒符號，還有代表物品的符號，像是玫瑰花「--<-<@」，以及最近被列入考題的「Orz」或「囧rz」，就是一種動作符號。「O」為頭部或國字「囧（ㄐㄩㄥˇ）」作為臉部表情，至於「r」則代表撐著的手，「z」字母則表示跪著的腳，結合出看似一個人趴倒在地以手腳支撐，主要用來表示被打敗、五體投地，後來也有各種變體（有興趣者可參考維基百科的表情符號）。2004年筆者帶領的傳播系畢業展主題就是「Orz」，小型的校內畢業展，又遠在南台灣，竟然吸引報紙半版的篇幅，及五家電視台報導，當時的我們也只能用「Orz」來形容自己的心情！這也看出網路語言受到媒體與社會大眾的重視。
