    Abstract: 美國漢學家羅杰瑞在〈閩語詞彙的時代層次〉(1994) 一文的結論指出：閩語基本上有秦漢;南朝;晚唐三個時間層次。丁邦新〈重建漢語中古音系的一些想法〉(1995) 則指出六朝時期的中古音實際上應該分別擬測為江東方言（金陵）及河北方言（鄴下）。梅祖麟先生〈閩語;吳語和江東方言之間的關係〉(1999) 一文則指出：閩語;吳語都具有古江東方言這一時間層次;不過我們還需要把這兩個方言的層次之間對應的情況加以釐清。有了上述諸位前輩學者的啟發;本文即擬以閩方言為對象;透過《切韻》及《韻鏡》所提供四等韻──齊;蕭;添;先;青──的框架來分析閩方言豐富的文白異讀中所呈現的語言層次。
