    Abstract: 一九九○年代以來，審議式民主的興起，已逐漸引起學界研究焦點的轉向，並豐富化政治學、公共行政、傳播學等相關學科領域的內涵。十餘年來，相關文獻主要聚焦在規範層面的討論：如審議式民主的理論根源、基本內涵以及與其他民主模式的比較。雖有研究探討將審議式民主精神融入不同公民參與的過程中，但如何將審議民主的實踐模式與正式體制兩者接軌，仍是學術界的研究缺口及實務界的棘手難題。由耶魯大學法學教授Bruce Ackerman 及史丹佛大學傳播暨政治學教授James. S Fishkin 在二○○四年出版的《審議日》一書，正可彌補審議式民主這方面的不足。該書從理論及實務角度出發，提出一個可能重新塑造民主治理過程及內涵的制度設計。出版後已引起學界熱烈的討論，可見其對社會科學領域的影響，預期未來將引領更多相關的研究投入其間。
