The original materials of the Sakizaya is not abundant, but there are some studies in historical science, linguistics, ethnology, anthropology. This article examines the literature of the Sakizaya and various related academic fields and discusses the scholars’ research. From the analysis of the historical data, it shows that the Sakizaya’s interaction is different from one of the Amis. However, after the Jia-li-wan Event(加禮宛事件), besides that the language still kept its special features, other cultures are not distinguished from the Amis. Writing an ethnography of the Sakizaya and how to attract researchers in order to increase research results will be the primary work.
