Introduction: 本系之前身政大會統系於民國四十七年成立，爾後為因應市場對統計人才的需求，於民國五十五年獨立為統計學系；民國五十七年奉准創設國內第一所統計研究所碩士班；民國七十七年更進一步成立統計研究所博士班。至此，本系成為國內第一所具有完整統計教育的學系。目前系上設有二個院屬研究中心：統計推廣研究中心、民意與市場調查研究中心，希冀藉由二個中心的運作，加強系上師生與政府以及工商業界的互動與交流，使得教授們的教學及研究能夠符合社會的脈動。統計學系
