Abstract:	從「父母之命，媒妁之言」的安排式婚姻到強調「自由戀愛」的個人選擇，「誰來決定婚姻」看似20 世紀社會變遷既定的現象，究竟在台灣社會中如何轉變？傳統父母之命的婚姻型態是否仍然存在或已經被揚棄？本研究根據《臺灣日日新報》、《台灣民報》與《聯合報》對於戀愛與婚姻的相關報導，嘗試從自由戀愛的推廣與介紹、傳統父母安排婚姻的勢微與個人選擇的急速擴張三個發展階段，重新呈現20 世紀自由戀愛個人的選擇如何在台灣社會中進行轉變，並於研究結果進一步從「以台灣作為婚姻觀念轉變的討論主體」與「呈現多元價值並存的婚姻型態」兩層面進行申論。
