    Abstract: 從《尚書˙堯典》開始，「詩言志」就成為中國文學思想中的重要課題。在〈堯典〉中，舜命虁典樂以教胄子，產生以詩為教的現象。詩教的現象，受到儒家推波助瀾，成為一種文化傳統。而儒學重視人之普遍的道德心性，此似與講究個人情感的文學活動，有著基本的衝突，所以當代許多研究文學批評史的學者，就將「詩言志」視為以儒學為基調的道德學說且以其為忽略個人情感的文學思想。順此而下，六朝「詩緣情」的觀念，才是解放個人情感的大突破。事實上，這種歷史圖像平面化了儒家的詩教內涵，使得中國文學思想史的發展，成為一種斷裂性的承接。為了重新反省「詩言志」與「詩緣情」的關係，回到先秦孔、孟的說詩活動，並且討論其文學意義，就成為必要的方法。本文以儒家閱讀經驗的感悟特質做為核心，嘗試論證儒家的道德意識與情意美感不相悖離，以便重新貞定「詩言志」與「詩緣情」的關係。
