    Title: 意志自律與心之自律：牟宗三與康德論道德理性

    Abstract: Slingerland（2010）將荀子道德心理理論歸類為預設「認知控制模型」（cognitive control model）的理論之一。這個歸類的意涵是：荀子將「理性能力」(rational faculties) 與「感性能力」（emotional faculties）視為是相對而彼此競爭的能力。在兩者間，荀子偏重「理性能力」，認為「理性能力」「有可能」也「應該」監督 — 並在適當的狀況下忽視或壓制 — 「感性能力」的情感反應。Slingerland並引用近年道德心理學實證研究的成果，批評此模型的可信度。筆者認為Slingerland對於荀子道德心理學的歸類並不適當。與Slingerland討論中對「理性能力」與「感性能力」的描述相比，荀子理論中「心」與「情」的概念與此二者在道德判斷、道德行為中所扮演的角色有相當差異。本文基於探索荀子道德心理學之實證基礎的根本關懷，從以下方向展開論述：首先，筆者介紹「認知控制模型」的幾個重要特點，以及Slingerland對這個模型的批評。筆者接著釐清荀子道德心理理論，重點將放在分析「心」與「情」兩個重要概念，以及兩者在道德判斷、道德行為中扮演的角色。筆者依據這部分的分析，舉出Slingerland將荀子理論歸類為「認知控制模型」所遇到的幾個問題。最後，筆者將回頭檢視釐清後的荀子道德心理理論與近年道德心理學實證研究的成果兩者是否相容。
