Abstract:	日治時期臺灣文學研究方向長年側重作家生平與作品內容，對與創作同樣構成文學史之重要部分的文藝評論、理論的相關研究付之闕如。而上承新文學萌芽之1920年代，下啟戰爭中文學成熟期之1940年代的1930年代，為臺灣文藝評論大量出現，充分反映出社會主義思潮所產生之影響，可說是臺灣文學發展之關鍵時期。30年代文藝評論中頻繁出現之「文藝大眾化」主張為同時代文藝界之共識，但其實行方法及認識則各自殊異；與「文藝大眾化」幾為等義語之「藝術大眾化」為日本近代文學之重大論爭主題，與臺灣「文藝大眾化」言說具有似同而異之關連。因此對1930年代文藝評論之研究，與日本近代文學之比較可預期將能為解釋臺灣文學現象及文學史建購帶來嶄新觀點。然對於30年代臺灣文藝評論篇章之檢析，至今多來自對臺灣左翼文學以及與其密切相關之鄉土文學‧臺灣話文論爭之研究。本計畫擬就30年代文藝評論作全面性的收集解讀，希冀透過比較之觀點，為30年代文藝評論作系統性的分析，進而建立詮釋架構。
