Title:	都市河岸部落的文化實踐－Sa’owac部落的傳統與創新 Cultural Practice of Taiwan Indigenous Tribes along Riverbank in Urban Area: The Hybridization of Tradition and Innovation in Sa’owac Tribe

Abstract:	都市，從1960年代起，成為原住民在城鄉差距之下離開原鄉，遷徙而至的目的地。時隔數十年，已有約莫半數的原住民居住於都市中，其中，最大宗為阿美族。都市中的阿美族依照傳統生活慣習，在都市這新故鄉傍水而居，建立河岸部落，也實踐與重建其族群文化。而河岸部落的文化生成具有其獨特樣貌，不全然等同於花東原鄉，也不等同於都市文化。　　談文化何其廣闊，筆者乃以文化展演作為河岸部落文化之傳播表徵，透過研究一處於桃園市的河岸部落－Sa’owac部落之七場文化展演，包括部落豐年祭、聯合豐年祭、部落與學術界及藝文界共同舉辦之文化展演，從其文化展演的舞台、媒介、參與者、意涵作為研究架構著手分析，探討Sa’owac部落在都市中，面對都市場域的經濟、教育、政治、多元人際網絡處境之下，其既有傳統文化做出創造性適應，形成Sa’owac部落文化實踐之傳統與創新混雜樣貌，並部落的文化主體性也在各文化展演的決策、實踐中建立。 Since 1960s, Taiwan indigenous people have migrated to metropolitan urban area because the gap between urban and rural areas becomes wider and wider. After a few decades, almost half of indigenous peoples live in urban area instead of rural areas nowadays. Amis People are the majority of them, and these Amis People bring their traditional-living habits to construct tribes along riverbank in urban area. They also practice and reconstruct their ethnic culture in the tribes. The culture of tribes along riverbank in urban is neither entirely identical to the tribes in Hualien County and Taitung County where they come from, nor identical to the culture of urban area. Cultural performance is considered as the symbolic of culture practicing by tribes along riverbank in urban area. Researcher studied seven cultural performances, practiced by a tribe along riverbank-Sa’owac Tribe in Taoyuan City. These seven cultural performances includes “ilisin” ritual of Sa’owac Tribe, “ilisin” ritual of Daxi District and Taoyuan City, and the performances held by academia and art community with Sa’owac. By analyzing the research framework which consists of the stages, media, players, meanings of cultural performances. Researcher studied how Sa’owac Tribe encounter with economic situations, educational situations, politic situations, and complex social network in urban. Its cultural practice recreates traditions, and demonstrates hybrid culture of tradition and innovation. In the process of making decisions and praticing culture, Sa’owac Tribe also constructs its cultural subjectivity.
