    Abstract: 仲淹（以下以其諡號文正稱之）的人生，乃是藝術與道德結合的全人生；其性命，亦為道德與藝術結合的全性命。明乎此，始可知其書法之所以勁而美，與文學之所以美而勁。固可藉書法以透視先天性格，又可藉以反映後天修養；蓋書法之外在，固為人之才藝，而其內在，封為人之品性。文正之書法，所以如「龍跳虎臥」而「遒勁嚴整」者，就在其落筆「痛快沉著」；而其所以如「龜文龍鱗」而「氣嚴法備」者，就在其運墨「動合法度」。凡此，似乎皆為其表象，其實卻為其內涵；其所以被贊為「柳骨顏筋」而「渾厚端莊」者，不獨因筋骨為內在之「清勁」，即莊厚亦為內在之「華美」。所以，不知文正胸中之節義，則難知其筆鋒之剛勁；蓋寫字固須「鉤指回腕」，尤須「注神貫氣」也。文正之文學，固然文法互通。文體參用；且因其句式多，層次明，而有其「怒流出峽」之氣勢美，與「典雅純實」之康壯勁；且以為憑其「卷舒變化」之「高妙文詞」，就可一掃「文章柔靡，風俗巧偽」之積弊。其實此文為其表象，並非其實質。案文正之文章所以常化景為情與寓情於景。乃其期藉文學造詣以「漸隆古道」與「興復古道」；易言之，則經由「文以載道」 （學術）而達成「輔成王道」 （政治）之意志。可知其為發於至誠與積於至憂者，亦即其作品為憂與誠所交織之結晶。雖然在其作品之振作中而顯其文采。在緊縮中而見其剛勁；但在文采與剛勁之後面，隱藏看其養氣勵志之工。蓋文正主張以道為本，以文為末，故某寫作皆為「貫通經術，明體達用」者，質言之，文正乃斥空言，重實效之高士，故必化其意志為作品之力量，以「鼓天下之動」，以「垂天下之志」。所以，必先透其作品而識其心，然後而可信其誠也。
