    Abstract: 追求更真實的繪圖效果一直是電腦圖學的重要研究方向,折射是透明物體的重要 效果,藉由計算光線在不同介質的傳播路徑形成迷人的光影效果。但由於其本質計算 上的複雜度,限制了折射在即時運算上的運用。在本計劃試圖分析既有演算法對折射 現象的實作,並利用 GPU 的加速功能,嘗試簡化計算模型,並藉由前處理的分析,降 低在執行期間的負擔。本計畫中將嘗試以 3D 模型作為輸入資料,來建立簡化的網格以 及對應的高度場貼圖,並在前處理計算簡化折射所需的資訊,配合 GPU 硬體加速,提 供即時運算的性能。此外,希望以此即時演算法為核心,提供直覺化的界面,以期增 添折射運用上的風格化以及多樣性。 本計劃的研究內容主要可分為二大重點: 1. 建立即時折射繪圖演算法。 2. 提供使用者以直覺化的界面,利用折射現象進行風格化的設計。
    Realistic lighting effect is one of importance research topics in computer graphics. Refraction is one of amazing effects evoke when the light path through different medium. However, the computation complexity constrains the usage of refraction in real-time rendering. In this proposal, we will try to survey relative refraction implementation, and design a simplify computation model based on GPU, and reduce the runtime overhead by preprocess. Our proposed method preprocesses the input mesh model into a base mesh and multi-layer height field texture with the refraction information. Then a per-fragment shader will solve the computation light path to archive the real-time performance. Besides, we also propose an intuitive design interface to help user creating stylized refraction images. In this proposal, there are two key research topics, described in the following: 1. A realtime refraction rendering algorithm. 2. An intuitive interface for stylized refraction design.
