    Abstract: 根據馬克思主義對戰爭的傳統看法，資本主義國家之間為爭奪世界資源，世界大戰是無可避免的。但第二次大戰後，資本主義國家間並未發生大戰，反而社會主義國家間紛爭不斷。一九八五年六月步中共中央軍委召開擴大會議，鄧小平重新評估國際形勢，認為世界大戰短期之內不可能爆發，但各國為追求獨立自主的政治、經濟路線，區域性衝突將日益增加，在此背景下，共軍內部對其長期以來所遵循的馬克思主義戰爭觀，展開了一連串再認識的活動。馬克思主義戰爭觀，指的是列寧、毛澤東在其本國進行革命、戰爭式與其他國進行戰爭時，對馬克思學說的應用與詮釋。事實上，馬克思對於戰爭本質及基本規律等問題，並沒有一套完整的理論，但列寧在其俄國革命戰爭的實踐中，以馬克思的階級理論，倚造出一套對戰爭起源、根源、目的、性質及消滅等問題有完整答案的戰爭觀；而中共的戰爭觀，則可說是完全承襲自列寧。因此，中共戰爭觀的轉變，有很大成份是對列寧革命戰爭理論的揚棄，其目的在為現代戰爭的發生找到合理的解釋，並為其未來軍隊建設打好理論基礎。長期以來，毛澤東的軍事思想幾乎就等同於中共的軍事思想。由於戰爭觀的轉變，中共開始將其軍隊任務與作戰側重方向放在應付未來「局部戰爭」的威脅上，加以現代戰爭對武器裝備、人員素質及作戰方式等不斷地提出新的要求，這自然會對中共根據內戰經驗形成的毛澤東軍事思想產生衝擊。中共對毛澤東軍事思想的修正，表露出它在堅持共黨專政的同時，亟欲使其軍事思想更能符合現代戰爭的要求。
