Abstract:	許多先進國家已將終生教育列為教育目標之一，我國近年來也積極推動終生教育。而學校為一開放系統，在面臨終生學習的發展趨勢，且為建立終生學習體系的重要一環，則對於終生教育的推展、及設施規劃利用上必有所因應與調整。因此，本研究主要在探討美國及我國各級學校，尤其是中小學因應相關環境實施終生學習相關活動之發展歷程，包括識字教育、家庭教育、社區教育等成人教育，並瞭解其利用學校設施的情況。
