Abstract:	書院在中國學術史、中國教育史上占有重要的地位，是中國文化史上的燦爛明珠。從唐代產生到清末改制，書院歷經了千年之久的辦學歷史，形成了一套獨具特色的教學方法、管理制度和學術風格，使源遠流長的傳統私學趨於成熟及完善。書院因此成為中國古代的重要教育機構，受到宋以後許多思想家和教育家的重視。
