    Abstract: 　　本論文旨在探討十七世紀朝鮮極端排斥「夷狄」清朝，但十八世紀中葉，卻又提倡「北學中國（清朝）」運動之兩極態度的思想演變。全文除前言與結論外，計分四章八節，共約九萬餘言。第一章朝鮮傳統的中國觀。第一節以朝鮮之前的慕華思想，與高麗對契丹、女真和蒙古的夷狄觀為中心，說明十七世紀前，朝鮮傳統對外的華夷思想與認識；第二節以中韓源遠流長的歷史關係，分新羅前、高麗與朝鮮前期三階段，探討此一華夷意識的作用與功能。第二章事大意識的轉變。第一節以朱子學（性理學）在朝鮮社會之發展與深化為重點，討論朝鮮社會現實與理論思考分離現象，影響對外政策的情形；第二節以朝鮮的北伐意識與尊周義理論等問題，論述朝鮮提倡北伐運動失敗後，轉為倡論尊周義理論與朝鮮中華思想等反清活動。第三章康雍乾時期的中國觀。第一節由清朝皇帝、國運、民族關係、索賄貪贓、衣冠服飾等，討論燕行使者的中國（清朝）觀；第二節由社會繁盛、利用厚生技術、學術文化等各項觀感與體驗，探討北學派的中國（清朝）認識。第四章北學思想及其華夷觀。第一節說明北學興起之背景，並以洪大容、朴趾源、朴齊家為中心，論述北學其以中國經驗，大力提倡效法清人改進技術的利用厚生論思想；第二節論述觀遊中國回還後的洪大容從傳統華夷觀，修正至強調世界各國平等，以及朴趾源與朴齊家二人，主張將中國區分為政治屬清，文化屬華的二元論華夷觀主張。
