    Abstract: 本論文，一冊，約十萬字，分成六章：第一章，「學徒出身的革命實行家」，旨在
    探討陳其美的早年，以及他如何由蟄居十三年的典當行中，走出而邁入革命洪流的
    變化，這種自發自覺的轉變，是與一般知識份子因認知而革命有不同之處。第二章
    ，「游學日本與投身革命」，日本自明治維新後，以蕞爾小國躋登世界之強，成為
    中國青年所欣羨與仿傚的，故日本成了革命份子聚會地，陳其美於一九○六年夏天
    留學日本先就讀警監學校，一年後改入東斌學校就讀，尤其重要的是他在留日期間
    加盟同盟今與結交革命志士經過。第三章，「辛亥革命前後的活動」，辛亥革命自
    武昌首役後，陳其美於上海號召起義，一戰鷹揚，尤其策應江、浙、光復南京功不
    可沒。光復後，任滬軍都督、規模、氣度大有可觀。第四章，「由反袁到二次革命
    的歷鍊」，旨在分析陳其美反袁的動機孕育過程，最後終因宋案而爆發討袁的經過
    ，以及他在二次革命前後，他偏向於擁黃、擁孫的心態歷程。第五章，「中華革命
    黨時期的策組與討袁」，乃本文重點，陳其美任總務部長、及回國討袁，功業最彪
    炳。第六章，「遇刺殉國」，旨在探討陳其美在肇和之役失敗後，仍鍥而不舍奮鬥
    ，經遭袁世凱派人暗殺，其革命精神永垂不朽。「結語」──作一蓋棺論定之評判
    ，對其美一生功過之總結。
