Abstract:	本文共五萬字分四章十節：第一章：袁世凱與韓延之企圖暗殺金玉均—由朝鮮與袁世凱企圖暗殺金玉均開始至金玉均被暗殺及暗殺後對中日關係的影響。第二章：朝鮮東學亂發生與袁世凱及韓日的政策—韓廷腐敗人民不滿要求內政改革，產生東學亂，韓延請求中國派兵平亂，日本乘機派兵至朝鮮準備與中國作戰。第三章：中日兩國出兵與袁世凱的撤兵交涉—韓廷請求中國出兵平亂之後，日本也派兵至韓，袁世凱提出撤兵問題，日本拒絕撤兵，中日撤兵交涉失敗。第四章：日本提出內政改革案與袁世凱—日本拒絕撤兵，反向中國提出共同協助韓延改革內政，企圖終止中韓宗主關係，袁世凱拒絕此一提案，日本藉口中國干預韓國內政，因此向中國宣戰，引發中日甲午戰爭。
