    Abstract: 本文探討公共圖書館標準與營運基準、公共圖書館績效評量指標,以及我國公共圖書館營運基準與績效評量指標;旨在闡述臺灣地區公共圖書館營運基準與圖書館績效評量指標之關係,而期使我國公共圖書館營運基準能落實於圖書館績效評量指標之採用與施行中,以達成圖書館營運的效率及效能。
    This paper explores the standards and performance evaluation indicators for public libraries in general as well as specifically for those in Taiwan, Republic of China. Through a discussion on the relationship between the standards and performance evaluation indicators for Taiwanese public libraries, this paper hopes that more efficient and effective library management may be attained in Taiwan through the implementation of such standards and indicators.
