    Title: 進口競爭與品質差異對公司訓練的影響
    The impact of import competition and difference of quality on company training

    Abstract: 本文探討美國製造業之訓練決策受是否會因中國製造業所帶來的進口競爭而有所影響,發現只有1994年之前的樣本有受到顯著的負向影響,而中國在1989年到1994年之間,使美國整體製造業勞工的公司訓練時數,平均減少了2.21小時,如果依照受訪者之學歷分成高學歷及低學歷,則中國製造業的進口競爭在同一時期內使低學歷的人平均減少了3.11個小時的訓練,但對於高學歷的人卻沒有顯著的負面影響,如果另外將產業分成高科技及低科技產業,中國的進口競爭造成美國低科技製造業的勞工,平均減少了2.92個小時,然而高科技產業卻沒有受到顯著地負面影響。最後本文放入美國製造業的前緣趨近,發現接近品質前緣的產業所受到來自中國進口競爭的負面影響較小,甚至可能有正面的影響,然而遠離品質前緣的產業則會受到較大的負面影響,除此之外也針對美國及中國的前緣趨近差距做了延伸,發現當雙方產業的前緣趨近差距達到0.114以上,差距的拉大才有助於美國產業的訓練決策。
