    摘要: 近年,全球經濟成長趨緩,臺灣銀行業又因國內市場逐漸飽和呈現過度競爭造成主要獲利來源放款利差逐年下降。台灣總資產市占率前十大銀行中,僅臺灣銀行市占率超過10%,加上整併不易,導致同業削價競爭嚴重。故以增加獲利及擴大市場為目標,銀行業於海外進行投資及設立據點,並於拓展客源、產品銷售及市場開發等目標確立下,置身於世界市場。因此,本研究為了解銀行業跨國經營之成效及成功關鍵因素,分析臺灣本地銀行赴海外設立營運據點的過程,及國內銀行國際化的現況與各家銀行國際化情形。

    個案分析後發現,(一) 應根據規模及發展階段,選定跨國經營模式與策略。(二)地主國區位、人文地理、法律的差異,影響跨國經營模式與策略。(三)人才、技術及資本累積為共通性問題,影響跨國經營之競爭力。(四)建構當地互助網絡,降低營運風險。

    今日銀行業無法再像以往單調的經營模式,改以多元的營運方式、金融創新。因此,國際銀行的拓展規模與投入國外的腳步越來越快,面對科技進步的激烈環境,國內銀行要進入國際市場就必須採取正向而有效的投資決策。而政府也需持續落實金融科技與檢討金融開放相關法規,才能夠使臺灣銀行在未來有機會成為真正國際化的銀行。
    During these decades, the global economic has been performing slowing growth or even regression, and the financial market in Taiwan is gradually saturated, which caused over-banking competition. In consequence, the major source of profit in banking industry is decreasing due to the decline of loan interest rate year by year. On the other hand, among the top ten banks in the rating of total assets in Taiwan, only Bank of Taiwan’s market share is more than 10%, which represents that the problems of over-banking, difficulty of merging, and price competition; therefore, these small individual banks needs to set up strategies to increase profits and market shares. Currently, the quickest and easiest method for them to achieve is to invest and start to operate overseas, which will lead them into the international market to experience different types of customers, sale strategies, and methods of expanding new markets. Therefore, this research will focus on the efficiency to banks’ overseas management and the keys to success, and also analyze the process of setting up the operation and comparison among them.



    After brief analysis, this study has found:



    Multinational business model and management strategy should be considerate of the scale of the bank and its stage of development
    The differences of location, geography, and legislation of host country would affect multinational business model and management strategy
    Human resource, technology, and accumulating capital are the common issues affect the competition of multination management
    Local cooperation could reduce the risks of operation efficiently.


    Today’s business model of the banking industry won’t be as simple as it was in the past due to diversity managing methods, innovations of financial products, and the development of fintech. Also, other multinational banks have already plan to expand aggressively and intend to invest into the financial market in Taiwan. Facing the highly competitive multinational banks’ invading and rapid change of fintech, banking industry in Taiwan must respond such crisis positively and make the accurate and effective decisions on overseas investments. After all, our government also needs to continue instituting fintech and liberalizing correlative regulations, to promote the banking industry in Taiwan developing multinational in the future.
