Abstract:	本文藉「流程」（flow）這個概念，剖析台灣有線電視新聞頻道如何藉由現場連線，來創造服膺電視機構經濟原則的內容型態。本文討論分三個部份：第一部份檢視現有電視文化研究中對於「現場」概念的討論，以及新聞現場與台灣現有新聞頻道資本化經營的關連性；第二部份則以「流程」的概念，分析現場連線報導在整體新聞影、音敘事扮演的角色，並藉此說明新聞現場如何服膺新聞機構時間經濟的原則；第三個部份則討論現場連線報導如何重新定位了新聞「事件」在播報中所扮演的角色。 The article demonstrates how the cable news channel in Taiwan frequents the use of live coverage to fulfill its propensity for capitalization. Applying the concept of “flow” to analyze the role of live covernage in the audio-visual sequence of news report, the article suggests that live television, as a salient production value of television, be cast in the light of its economic value. The discussion unfolds in the following three parts: The first part surveys various theoretical perspectives to the notion of live in the television studies, and analyzes how the live coverage is symptomatic of the television institution’s pursuit for capitalization. The second part examines the “flow” phenomenon in the cable news channels and explains the role played by the live coverage in the entire audio/visual flow of the newscast. The third part discusses how the live coverage redefines the ontology of news “event” in the context of television broadcast.
