Title:	台灣地區成年民眾電視節目收視動機研究

Abstract:	本研究之主要目的係在探討臺灣地區成年民眾收看各類電視節目之動機究竟為何，以及各類節目收看動機之類目彼此間之異同。在研究中擇定了新聞、綜藝、戲劇、社教與聯播五類電視節目，同時亦將涉及民眾收看電視之整體性動機，並輔以各類節目之實際收視行為資料以為參考比較。擇定之研究架構係參考「使用與滿足導向」之研究理論及假說而得，研究方法則採面對面訪員親訪之問卷調查法。樣本選取依據則是以行政區域、地理位置、及人口密度等為標準。結果共完成了八七八位居住在臺北市、高雄市、基隆市、臺南市、桃園市、臺南縣佳里鎮、苗栗縣頭份鎮、新竹縣新豐鄉、雲林縣元長鄉及四湖鄉的十八歲以上民眾之訪問工作。全部訪問係於民國七十二年二月四、五、六日三天進行，補訪及複訪工作於二月九日前完成。問卷內有關使用動機之問題因大多係採開放式問法，動機類目之編碼、歸類則由政治大學新聞研究所四位同學負責，根據內容分析之信度等要求，而取得受訪民眾收看社教與聯播、新聞等四類節目之動機及不看之原因。全部問卷所得資料則是由政治大學電算中心支援之SPSS電腦套裝程式進行分析及統計。研究結果顯示受訪民眾收看各類電視節目之動機及各類動機之重要性並不盡相同，資料同時顯示了民眾似乎能清楚辨別電視節目並不僅只是提供消遣娛樂之大眾傳播媒介，電視之消息資訊供應功能亦獲得相當程度地肯定。
