    Abstract: 語言學界傳統上將漢語認定為「主題取向」的語言,在語言類型上與英語等「主語取向」 的語言形成兩種極端的類型。本文的主要目的是從詞彙功能語法(Lexical-Functional Grammar)的各個模組層面來探討主題在漢語中的各種限制,因而顯示傳統的看法誇大了主題在漢語語法中的地位,也忽略了漢語和英語在主題上許多共同的語法表現。
