The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of knowledge building activities on fourth-grade students' writing performance. Data collected include the experimental and control groups' average writing test scores and the experimental group's online learning activities. The results showed that students in both of the experimental and the control group improved their writing performance. Moreover, The experimental group outperformed the control group significantly.
