Title:	NBEN上H.323視訊會議系統之規劃與建置

Abstract:	本計劃是在國家寬頻網路骨幹（NBEN）上建置H.323視訊會議平台，並藉由高頻寬、高品質的QoS網路架構來建立視訊通道及測試視訊會議的通訊效果，將來可以讓所有未直接連接在NBEN節點上的使用者，亦可以透過NBEN的視訊通道來進行視訊會議，減少通訊成本及提高連線品質，讓視訊會議能更普及化。我們也利用NBEN來做研討會的即時性轉播，例如：今年的TANet2000台灣區網際網路研討會、國際活動(MegaConference II的Internet 2 Conference)、以及資訊月的各項活動或會議。另外更可以利用已經建置好的平台來進行經常性的服務，例如：同步式遠距教學即時群播、課程隨選、遠距醫療…等。目前中山大學多點視訊會議系統已經加入MegaConference II的網路架構，成為來自世界各地的成員之一，七月中旬中山大學透過Internet 2與MegaConference II成員之一的美國俄亥俄州立大學（Ohio State University，簡稱OSU）進行Cascade連線測試，並透過H.323/H.320 Gateway提供國內ISDN、區網下游使用者與國外連線，通訊品質良好。未來我們會以TANet / Internet 2的名義幫各個學校加入MegaConference II並進行各種測試，將研究、測試的心得、技術、設備等應用於實務上，作為學術和實務應用結合的最佳示範。
