    Title: 台灣製造業薪資不均等之探討

    Abstract: 台灣近十年來實質薪資呈負成長,與GDP成長率脫勾,低薪現象嚴重阻礙社會穩定與經濟發展。本研究的主要目的為探討薪資不均等之現象並以國際貿易的角度解釋之。
    本研究將勞動力分成兩種類型:專業人員與非專業人員,且視為不同種類的要素,透過量化實證研究檢驗相對要素價格均等化是否存在於台灣製造業各行業中。並以特定要素模型為基礎,分析台灣製造業各行業近年主要出口商品之國際競爭力變化情形,以了解其對於該行業相對要素價格的影響。
    研究結果顯示,相對要素價格均等化於製造業各行業間並不成立。表示造成行業間要素相對價格存在差異之因素不僅僅為要素不可觀察之生產力差異,存在其他行業特性之差異。且製造業各行業出口競爭力上升會加劇薪資不均等的情況,此結論與特定要素模型之推論一致。
    During the past ten years, real wage in Taiwan is declining which critically endanger the stability of sociality and the development of economics. The main purpose of this study is to discover the phenomenon of wage inequality and explain it in the aspect of international business.
    This study divides labor force into two categories: professional and unprofessional and considers them as different factors. After that, this study uses a quantitative method to test if relative factor price equality exists in Taiwan’s manufacturing sector. Besides, based on specific factor model, this study also analyses the change of export competitiveness in Taiwan’s manufacturing sector in order to find out the relationship between export competitiveness and relative factor price equality.
    The result shows wage inequality doesn’t exist in Taiwan’s Manufacturing Sector. The consequence shows the difference of relative factor price between industries is not due to the difference in productivity but to other industry characteristics. Also, export competitiveness significantly affects the level of wage inequality. The result is consistent with the finding of specific factor model.
