    摘要: 本研究探討沙特的責任概念。沙特的存在主義以其獨特的自由觀為人所知，然而，在相關的研究往往以自由為重的情況下，責任在其思想中的重要性反而被忽視，或者沒有得到恰當的理解。對此，筆者的論點是：若要完整掌握沙特的思想，那麼對責任概念的考察將是必要的。
    本研究首先從沙特對意識結構的分析中找出意識之自我承擔的存有學根據，說明意識在前反思的自發性活動當下已同時包含對自身存有的負責，並且在與他人的原始關係中亦包含了對他人存有的負責。其次，通過對具體行動與事實性之討論，指出在實踐領域中，沙特認為人應為自己的自由與自己的行動結果負責。在整理出責任概念所包含的全部範圍之後，則進一步論述「承擔責任」此命題如何從描述的範疇轉向實際發生的範疇，這涉及意識對於自身之責任的自覺；出於這樣一種自覺，意識能夠自主地做出「願意承擔責任」的決定，這有別於在原初意義上作為存有之根本事實的自我承擔。最後，則是嘗試從責任概念出發，為沙特的自由理論提供更全面的詮釋，並說明沙特早期的倫理學構想必須以責任概念為基礎才能被正確地理解。
