    Abstract: 台灣的中小型塑膠產業所面臨的發展困境，部分來自於中小企業本身的特質、部分來自於所處的石化產業鏈上游的因素，也有一部分來自於客戶所屬的產業鏈外移，以及產業競爭、目標市場與技術的快速轉變。

    企業通常在面對市場急速變化或生存威脅時，才會被迫開始轉型。轉型有許多策略方向，從核心資源出發，做關聯性的轉型，向上下游延伸或是水平延伸，是台灣許多中小型企業採取的策略；當然也有做非關聯性的轉型，成功或失敗的案例都有。本論文試圖藉由探討個案公司轉型成功的因素，作為台灣中小型製造業、特別是與個案相關的中小型塑膠加工業的借鏡。

    許多企業在檢視核心資源時，通常著重有形資產、財務與業務能力等，卻鮮少將「企業價值觀」視為一項核心資源，個案公司卻是環繞著企業的價值觀內化成為組織能力，並更進一步成為他們轉型成功的重要因素。

    長期建立的企業價值觀，是否仍然是再次面對市場轉變時轉型的有利因素和核心資源？或者企業將會面臨「創新的兩難」，反而不易成功轉型？
