    Title: 台北市民收看電視動機之研究

    Abstract: 論文提要
    本研究的主要目的是以使用與滿足的觀點,探討台北市民收看電視動機的類型,以及各項動機與人口學變項及電視使用程度的關係。
    研究方法採問卷調查法,訪問對象是十八歲及其以上的台北市民。
    在統計方法上,是以平均數、因素分析及內容分析的方法,找出台北市民收看電視動機的類型。並且用t測驗及單因子變異數分析,探求四個人口學變項和收看動機的關係。此外,用皮爾遜積差相關法,分析收看動機與電視使用程度的關係。
    為了要對兩個變項的關係作有意義的解釋,本研究進一步引入「收看決定」變項,來檢定收看動機與電視使用程度的關係。
    研究結果發現:台北市民收看電視主要動機是為了獲得消息及學習新事物,其次才是基於情感方面的因素。整體而言,收看動機愈強,則電視使用程度愈高。但是與預期相反的是,收看動機與電視使用程度的正相關關係,只對「非決定看者」才成立。此外,人口學變項預測收看動機的能力不高。
