Title:	Political Parties and Social Protests in Neoliberal Peru

Abstract:	We argue that the low level of opposition unity, which is the result of the 2003 Law of Political Parties and the neoliberal economic reform, has led to the limited scope of protest movements in Peru. The empirical evidence supports our argument.
