Abstract:	本稿は政党の社会的基礎、政治的立場、馬英九総統の支持率、経済状況、政党組織等複数の側面から 2016 年の総統選挙を分析し、政権交代の主要な原因が、過去 8 年間で国民党が若年層、高等教育レベル層の支持を失ったためと考える。また、副次的な原因として総統の支持率低迷が、国民党候補指名過程での混乱を招いた。そして、国民党の組織機能の不全が他方で長期的な問題となっている。
