Abstract: In the era of globalization, countries have been interacting one another closer than ever in terms of culture and economics. And with the recent dispute between the two biggest economics entities US and China on the trade war which has been escalating over the past year, has a big effect on the global economies. On Aug 2019, the US administration announced two new rounds of tariffs on $300 billion of imports from China at a rate of 10%, effective September 1 and December 15. This is the fourth round of US tariffs on imports from China, which now covers over $500 billion of Chinese imports, covering nearly all remaining trade with China, which also including the consumer electronics devices that was previously excluded.
The aim of this case study is to learn how teach companies cope with the trade war challenges and their company strategy given the products are mostly manufactured in China site by Taiwanese OEM partners like Foxconn.
