Abstract:	全書區分「政治與國際關係」、「經濟與區域合作」，「社會與轉型變遷」三篇，分就理論與實際研析拉丁美洲政治、經濟、社會的發展與演變。第一篇以政治理論為經，拉美民主發展與美洲政經關係為緯，探討其與國際雙邊與多邊關係，並從地緣政治看美國與拉丁美洲政經關係。第二篇聚焦拉美地區的經濟整合與對外經貿，探討拉美區域經濟體組織、運作、成效，及未來與亞太、歐盟、北美地區經貿合作的可能發展，並以專章分別探討墨西哥、阿根廷與中國的經貿關係。第三篇探討拉丁美洲社會變遷，各國轉型正義等議題，另就市場力量如何重構拉美的經濟與社會結構，以及帶來的社會不均與城市貧窮化的問題進行探討。
