    Title: 日韓古代文學中死後世界之探討—以《鉢里公主》及《古事記》為中心

    Abstract: 中國思想研究者余英時曾云:「一個民族原始的死後世界觀往往反映了它的文化特色,並且對它的個別成員以後的思想和行為也會發生一定程度的影響」,亦即若欲瞭解一個民族的思想、行為與文化,先瞭解其死後世界觀將有所助益。因此本論文欲透過韓國和日本文藝中描述死後世界之作品,考察日韓二國對於死後世界的觀點,以理解其文化思想。

    本論文第二、三章中,首先透過日韓古代文學作品,考察古代日韓民族對於死後世界之觀點,其後針對《鉢里公主》及《古事記》的成立背景、敘事內容等進行解說,最後探討《鉢里公主》與《古事記》〈黃泉國〉中描寫的死後世界,說明二作品中留存之中國思想痕跡、古代日韓民族對於死亡之看法、現世與死後世界之分界、以及死後世界是否有被理想化的痕跡。

    本論文第四章則針對《鉢里公主》及《古事記》〈黃泉國〉中蘊涵之中國思想,進行詳盡的說明。《鉢里公主》中不僅存在儒家的孝道與男尊女卑思想,亦深受道教與佛教的地獄審判思想影響;而《古事記》的〈黃泉國〉中,則展現出中國儒家的黃泉、幽都死後思想,以及道教的桃子驅邪思想。

    最後本論文於結論中,綜合第二至四章中對於《鉢里公主》及《古事記》〈黃泉國〉之考察,比較二作品中呈現之死後世界,並整理出今後相關研究課題。筆者期望能透過此研究,闡明日韓古代文學作品中死後世界的樣貌,以促進國人對於日韓文學作品與日韓思想文化之認識,並冀望以日韓古代文學作品中中國儒家、道教、佛教思想之考察,加深國人對於中國古代思想的理解。
    Yu Ying-shih, the scholar of Chinese thought once said, “The original thoughts about the afterlife of a certain race will reflect it cultural features, and then influence the thoughts and behaviors of each member in the future to a certain extent.” Namely, studying the thoughts about the afterlife of a certain race will help understand the thoughts, acts, and cultures of the race. Hence, to understand the culture and thoughts of Korea and Japan, this thesis studies the thoughts about the afterlife of Korean and Japanese people via Korean and Japanese ancient literatures.

    On Chapter Two and Three, this research investigates the thoughts about the afterlife of ancient Korean and Japanese races through several ancient literatures of these two races first. Then introduces the background and the narrative content of "Princess Bari" and "Kojiki". Finally, in order to explain the afterlife of "Princess Bari” and ‘Yomotsukuni’ of "Kojiki", this thesis will discuss the Chinese thoughts remained in the two works, the thoughts of death of ancient Korean and Japanese people, the boundary between the present world and the world of death, and the idealization of the world of death.

    For Chapter Four, this thesis will focus on the ancient Chinese thoughts contained in "Princess Bari” and ‘Yomotsukuni’ of "Kojiki". In "Princess Bari”, there are not only the concepts of filial piety and male superiority of Confucianism, but also the versions of hell and trial in Taoism and Buddhism. On the other hand, in ‘Yomotsukuni’ of "Kojiki", there shows the thoughts of ‘Huang Quan’ and ‘You Du’ in Confucianism and the function of peach for exorcism in Taoism.

    In the conclusion, this research will compare and analyze the afterlife in "Princess Bari” and ‘Yomotsukuni’ of "Kojiki" by the above discussion in Chapter Two to Four. In addition, the study limitations and the recommendations for future research will be proposed. The writer wishes that this thesis is able to enhance the understanding of the literatures, thoughts, and cultures of Korea and Japan via probing the afterlife in Korean and Japanese ancient literatures. Moreover, the investigation of thoughts of Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism in Korean and Japanese ancient literatures could also help get a better grasp of ancient Chinese thoughts.
