Since the Industrial Revolution, the continuous advancement of technologies has brought benefits to our lives. However, we didn’t aware of when mining the natural resources, it also hollowing out our future. In the past, the linear economy production model was simple and convenient, but it could produce too much waste in the process, and the product was directly turned into worthless garbage at the end of the life cycle. The rise of the issue of resource recycling has led to the gradual discussion of circular economy in the industry, but it involves product redesign and recycling, which will be a challenging new production model for corporations.
The research aims to find out the relation between corporation motivation and innovation through Circular Economy. Focusing on Taiwan’s textile industry and through in-depth interviews, this research examines the motivation of each company, how they react with their stakeholders and how they define the important stakeholders. In the end, the research will find out the innovation aspects that different companies use.
This research found the motivation of companies affects the direction of the company for innovation and development. The range of stakeholders that it pays attention to will affect its innovation methods, and make products have different aspects. In addition, circular economy is not a production model that has a standard process and must be strictly followed. It can be said to be a tool used by companies in production, rather than added value created. Therefore, how do companies explain, define and use it will make it to create different values, and then affect stakeholders at different levels. This research provides a reference for companies who want to invest in circular economy in the future on their own innovation trends through the association between corporate motivation and innovation, and the perspectives of stakeholders.
