Abstract:	「意識」(consciousness) 與「意向性」(intentionality) 通常並列為心靈的兩大基本性質：意識一般被理解為心靈的經驗性質，以下會有詳盡討論；意向性則是心靈或語言關於 (about) 或是論及對象（包括存在或不存在）的性質，在第二節後半會簡短討論，其深入細節會於其他條目另行介紹。本條目將一併討論意識以及一相關的概念「注意力」(attention)，以反映近年來心理研究的新發展：曾有一段時期哲學專注於意識的討論，而科學普遍認為意識難以有健全的操作型定義，因此專注於討論注意力。現今哲學與科學都認清注意力與意識不盡相同卻又緊密相關，因此需要一個整全的理解來概括它們。此文將會以哲學討論為主，然注意力與意識皆亦為心理學與認知神經科學的重要概念，故相關的科學討論亦會於需要時一併概述之。
