    Abstract: 本文以2018年與2019年臺灣學界有關戰後臺灣政治史的研究為中心，旁及日文 的研究成果，就重要與熱門的研究取向，大要地整理回顧。同時參酌歷年回顧與展 望的相關文章，簡要地呈現2007年以來戰後臺灣政治史的重要主題。2018年至2019 年的戰後臺灣政治史研究，約可分「涉外議題中的臺灣人與東亞脈絡」、「白色恐 怖、二二八與其他重大政治事件」、「內政治理與媒體宣傳」與「軍事議題」等四 大類，受益於新史料的開發，特別是對美國等外國檔案的運用，許多舊課題得以展 現內外交融的新特色。而十三年來此領域的熱門題目，仍以二二八事件與白色恐怖 相關研究為首，統治體制與戰後初期政權轉換的斷裂與延續問題是另一大特色，臺 灣地位亦始終為外交面向的關切焦點。 展望未來，「中華民國如何可能」與「臺灣如何可能」的提問，或許可增益思 考。中華民國如何生存，內政層面特別是省政府層級的作為，國際層面如文化冷戰 等領域，仍有待開拓。而在民間、反抗或受難等相對於統治者的概念之外，被大國 地緣政治忽略的臺灣住民想法與特殊處境，還有待突顯。融合這兩者，例如臺灣關 係法制訂過程中海外臺灣人社群的角色，執政後所謂臺灣人政權的發展，以及國民 黨之外各政黨的史料蒐集與歷史撰述，都是戰後臺灣政治史亟待補白的空缺。當然， 一部由臺灣學者書寫的戰後臺灣政治史通史，仍是未盡課題。
