| Abstract: | 冷戰後中美關係的發展在近年愈趨嚴峻，雙方的交惡不僅造成了臺海地區安全情勢的不穩定，也使得全球政經局勢受到深遠影響。綜觀國際關係學界，現實主義、自由主義與建構主義三大主流的理論，皆能在理論上對中美關係有所分析和預測。但作者認為，面對冷戰後國際社會的快速變遷，三大理論的解釋力相對不足，故本論文希望在21世紀的當今，延續Samuel Huntington對於文明衝突論的研究，從文明的角度來探究中美在冷戰後的互動過程中，是否存在一個根本性的差異，導致雙方誤解加深、衝突加劇。
本論文按照研究架構，在第二章，針對文明研究的彙整分析與文明衝突論發展脈絡的梳理與論述，將文明的內涵與定義得到進一步的發展，並聚焦於美國和中國大陸雙邊的「核心」文明內涵，進行比較並論證導致雙方發生衝突的潛在因子。基於前述的研究基礎，本論文在第三章進一步從美國與中國大陸雙邊國家戰略的設定，以及雙方領導高層與學術界不同的國際觀與彼此的認知差異進行研究、分析，論證由於不同文明內涵的影響，導致中美雙方在立場上的差異。本論文的第四章，在掌握中美雙方的立場差異之後，重點將雙邊正摩擦、衝突的貿易戰、南海問題與人權價值三項議題做為實際互動的案例進行比較研究，再次論證雙方由「核心」文明內涵差異所形成的潛在衝突因子，如何在互動過程中具像化這種衝突的根本性與難解性。最後在結論部分，闡述本論文的研究發現如何達成最初的兩項研究目的以及取得何等豐碩研究成果，並在研究展望的部分對後進研究提出作者的些許淺見。
The development of Sino-American relations after the Cold War is getting tenser in recent years. The hostility between the two sides has not only led to the instability of the security situation in Taiwan Strait but also put a great impact on the global political and economic situation. In the academia of International Relations, the three noted theories of Realism, Liberalism and Constructivism can theoretically analyze and predict Sino-American relations. However, the author believes that in the face of the rapid changes in the international community after the Cold War, the explanatory power of the theories above is relatively insufficient. Therefore, this thesis is expected to continue Samuel Huntington`s research on the theory of the Clash of Civilizations in the 21st century, and to explore from the perspective of civilization whether there is a fundamental difference in the post-Cold War interaction between Mainland China and the US, leading to deepening misunderstandings and exacerbating conflicts between the two sides.
According to the research structure, in the second chapter, this thesis further develops the connotation and definition of civilization by focusing on the connotation of "core" civilization between the US and Mainland China, which compares and demonstrates the potential factors resulting in conflicts between the two sides. Based on the research basis, the third chapter of this thesis further studies and analyzes the setting of the bilateral national strategies between the US and Mainland China, as well as the different international views and cognitive differences between the leadership and academia of the two sides, and demonstrates that the differences in positions between Mainland China and the US are caused by the influence of the connotation of different civilizations. The fourth chapter of this thesis focuses on the comparative study of the three topics of the US and Mainland China, namely, the positive friction, the trade war, the South China Sea issue and the human rights value, and demonstrates once again how the potential conflict factors formed by the differences in the connotation of the "core" civilizations of the two sides can embody the fundamental and difficult nature of this conflict in the process of interaction. Finally, the conclusion expounds on how the research findings of this thesis achieve the initial two research purposes and what fruitful research results have been accomplished, and the author`s humble opinions have been put forward to the later researchers. |
