| Abstract: | 《落果》從身為臺商二代的女兒視角出發，藉由家庭紀錄片的形式，探索臺商與其二代間的世代情感與身分認同。驟然離世的父親，在生疏的父女關係中，只留下茫然與未知，作為臺商之女的導演，為了描繪父親的輪廓，毅然決定重返兒時生活地——上海，藉由踏尋童年記憶的過程，認識父親，也釐清自己。1990年代末兩岸開放的氛圍下，一群追尋「中國夢」的臺商攜家帶眷移入中國生活，而被迫移居中國的 「臺灣囡仔」，懵懂的童年成長歷程中充斥著中國共產黨的黨化教育，又是如何看待自我身分認同？本片藉由導演個人故事，探尋當時的臺商二代，如今在香港反送中、民進黨執政、中共打壓等兩岸緊張的當代氛圍下，是如何梳理自我。
"Fallen Fruit" takes the perspective of a second-generation daughter of a Taiwanese businessmen in China and explores the generational emotions and identity between Taiwanese businessmen in China and their descendants through the format of a family documentary. With the sudden passing of the father, only a sense of bewilderment and the unknown remains in the unfamiliar father-daughter relationship. As the director, a daughter of a Taiwanese businessmen in China, decides to depict my father's profile, I resolutely chooses to revisit my childhood home in Shanghai. Through retracing the process of childhood memories, I seeks to understand my father and clarify my own identity.
In the late 1990s, amidst the atmosphere of cross-strait openness, a group of Taiwanese businessmen in China, driven by the pursuit of the "Chinese dream," relocated to China with their families. For the "Taiwanese kids" forced to move to China, their naïve childhood growth is filled with Chinese communist education. How do they perceive their own identity in this context? Through the director's personal story, the film explores the second generation of Taiwanese businessmen in China at that time and how they navigate their identities in the contemporary tension between Hong Kong's anti-extradition protests, the ruling of the Democratic Progressive Party in Taiwan, and the suppression by the Chinese Communist Party. |
