    The Molding of the Political Landscape in Northeast China from the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty

    Abstract: 本計劃考察漢唐間華北東部(河北、河南、河東)的政區演變，在實證的基礎上，探討周隋唐政權如何運用政治力，塑造華北東部政治空間。 隋朝調整政區有其階段性與地域性，著重在塑造舊北齊治下的地方政治空間。在時間脈絡下，以開皇9年平陳為界，由廢縣向增置新縣方向轉變；在地域層次上，與其他地域不同，河北、河南、河東的調整以增置新縣為主。 基於上述認識，筆者早年考察漢唐間河北的政區演變，大致建立分析政區的架構。106年度獲得科技部專題計劃協助，進行河南政區考察。本計劃將以三年為期，完成接續的研究工作，撰寫《體國經野—漢唐間華北東部地方政治空間的塑造》專書。 第一年計劃比照河北、河南地區，考察河東政區演變。 第二年計劃將在河北、河南、河東的實證成果上，納入不同主題，進行貫時性、跨地域的分析，勾勒漢唐間政區演變的時、空過程，尤其著重說明進周隋唐政權通過政治力塑造華北東部政治空間。 第三年計劃探討跨州政治空間的形成及其發展，在「從軍事到財政」的脈絡下，探討設置在內地的都督府在軍事、民政之外是否發展出新職能(尤其是財政層面)，指示隋唐在朝向大行政區(宋代的路)模式演變的位置，作為專書最後一部分研究，並展開專書撰寫。
    The actions of the administrative division are usually a good indicator of the will and the intentions of the ruling class. In this project, the applicant wishes to examine the evolution of the political landscape in Northeast China from the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty in order to understand the relationship between the central and local governments during this period. With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the applicant conducted similar research focused on the He-nan area and reached some useful conclusions. The applicant wishes to apply these conclusions to a different area and time period; Northeast China from the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty. With the analysis, the applicant wishes to publish a book about the actions of the administrative divisions in North China during the first millennium.
